I am an avid volunteer, and one of my focuses has been our local Girl Scout troop. I was lucky enough to be asked to help out with an existing troop when my oldest daughter joined as a Daisy several years ago. Through that troop, I met wonderful families, and troop and service unit leaders with a lot of experience and knowledge.

As our troop grew, so did the demand for scouting troops in the area. I, along with a handful of our existing volunteers, decided to start a separate troop. This blog will detail all of the things that I’ve learned, helpful activities, crafts, traditions, and helpful resources for volunteers like you, along the way.

Being a Girl Scout leader takes a whole lot of heart, and my hope is that, by sharing information and making it accessible to other troop leaders, I can use my strengths in organization, planning, and communication to support others in their scouting journeys.
